A windows to Cameroon's Economic EmergenceWith over 5 billion of iron ore deposit currently under development, 5,5 trillion cubic feet of copper and 19 trillion cubic feet of indicated gas reserves, second jarges bauxite reserves in Africa, substantial quantities of gold, uranium and diamond, second larges hydroelectric potential in Africa, Cameroon is also having the largest surface lateritic cobalt deposit in the world.
Since Cameroon is not an Island, and MINMIDT which has the duty to boost investment in the sector has signed many cooperation ties with funding and partner countries. It is in THIS light that Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry march 4 to 18, 2012 led a delegation to the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Trade Show in TORONTO, where they also met with Canadian anthorities in OTTAWA. It was an opportunity to sell the country to the outside world, thereby exposeing our mineral and mining potentials; Given the roadmap of MINMIDT and the country's growth vision, the men and women of the ministry trielessly work to realize the Head of State's "Greater Accomplishment Policy". |
