Sub-Department of Hydrocarbons

Under the authority of a Sub-Director, Sub-Department of Hydrocarbons is in charge of:
- The investigation and preparation of mining titles of petroleum;
- Participation in the development and monitoring of oil contracts, gas contracts and of the specifications relating thereto, and the acts related to the storage of hydrocarbons;
- Technical analysis offers oil contracts in conjunction with the authorities concerned;
- Participation in the preparation of documents relating to pipeline transportation, import, export and processing of hydrocarbons;
- Administrative and technical supervision of exploration, exploitation, storage, pipeline transportation, import, export and processing of hydrocarbon activities;
- The advisory support and awareness of operators of hydrocarbons;
- Participation in the development of promotion and exploitation of hydrocarbons;
- Monitoring of management inherent in national oil mining;
- Participation in the collection of statistics relating to the exploration, exploitation and production of hydrocarbons
- Participation in monitoring the implementation of the rules of environmental protection in the oil and gas sector, in conjunction with governments and agencies.

It includes:
- Service Monitoring Exploration of Hydrocarbons;
- Service Monitoring of Field Operations Hydrocarbons;
- The Service Recovery of Hydrocarbons.
 
Exploration of Hydrocarbons Monitoring Service  

Under the authority of a Head of Service, Service Monitoring Exploration of Hydrocarbons is responsible for:
- The preparation of hydrocarbon exploration authorization documents;
- Monitoring of hydrocarbon exploration activities;
- The collection and analysis of reports and results of exploration of hydrocarbons;
- Participation in the preparation of technical files campaign promoting national petroleum potential,
- Participation in monitoring the enforcement of environmental protection during hydrocarbon exploration.
It includes also the Head of Service, two (02) Engineering Studies.
 
Monitoring of Oil Field Operations Service

Under the authority of a Head of Service, Service Monitoring of Field Operations is responsible for Hydrocarbons:
- Administrative and technical supervision of operations of hydrocarbon deposits;
- Instruction and monitoring permissions removal of crude oil;
- Control of kidnappings crude;
- Collection and analysis of statistical data on the production of hydrocarbons;
- Participation in monitoring the implementation of rules to protect the environment during the production of hydrocarbons;
- The advisory support and awareness of operators of hydrocarbon deposits.

It includes also the Head of Service, two (02) Engineering Studies.
 
Service for the Valorization of Hydrocarbons

 Under the authority of a service Head, the Service for the Valorization of hydrocarbons is in charge of:
- The preparation and updating of the acts authorizing the storage, pipeline transportation, import, export and processing of hydrocarbons;
- The technical preparation of tender dossiers gas contracts;
- Participation in the development and monitoring of gas contracts, notebooks
- Loads and regulatory actions relating to gas operations;
- Administrative and technical oversight of storage, pipeline transportation, import and processing of hydrocarbons;
- Monitoring and metrological control of measuring equipment and their calibration;
- The implementation, monitoring and control of gas transport tariff system, and compliance methods and procedures,
- Participation in monitoring the implementation of rules to protect the environment during storage, pipeline transportation, import, export and processing of hydrocarbons.
 
It includes in addition to the Service Head, two (02) Studies Engineers.
